Every article on TCL Security is written or reviewed by a verified subject-matter expert with active professional credentials and hands-on experience. Author credentials are displayed on each article and are independently verifiable.

2. Primary-Source Citation Policy

We cite primary sources only:

Third-party summaries, secondary blog posts, and unverified social media claims are never used as primary sources. When we reference a secondary source, we trace it back to and link the original primary document.

3. Accuracy Review Process

  1. Draft: Author drafts article based on primary-source research.
  2. Fact-check: All data, CVE details, and regulatory references are cross-checked against official sources before publication.
  3. Publication: Article is published with a visible publication date.
  4. Maintenance: When official guidance changes (e.g., NIST SP updates, APPI amendments, CVE severity revisions), affected articles are updated promptly. The "last reviewed" date is updated to reflect each review.

4. AI-Content Disclosure

We use AI language tools (including Claude by Anthropic) as research assistants and drafting aids. All AI-assisted content is:

Articles authored with AI assistance carry the same credentialed byline as fully human-written articles, because the expert author bears full editorial responsibility for the final content.

5. Independence and Conflicts of Interest

TCL Security may publish affiliate links to security products and certification resources. Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial content, ratings, or recommendations. Products mentioned in articles are selected based on technical merit and relevance to the topic, not on commercial arrangements.

6. Corrections Policy

If you identify a factual error, please contact us via the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly with a note indicating the correction and date. We do not silently edit factual errors; corrections are always disclosed.
